About DASS
DAR Abroad Season School
is a unique project of residential schools, founded in 2010 by russian dance centre DAR (Dance Academy Russia), that has already made 18 lifetime projects in 9 years.
We give all the people, who are interested in dance, an opportunity to study it according to their levels twice a year, each winter and summer.
Furthermore, it is a good chance to have an active holiday and discover a country through art.

Program
For your choice 4 or 6-hour program every day, participation in parties, performances, visiting cool places and theatres
Main program: 2 hours of technique classes
Release, Flying low, Floor work, space research, isolation, movement chain, momentum, using gravity to its best and learning combinations.

Partnering, Art of Imrovisation, Art of Performance, unique methodic
Free time to travel
Berlin's combo of glamour and grit is bound to mesmerise all those keen to explore its vibrant culture, cutting-edge architecture, fabulous food, intense parties and tangible history.
We plan to visit different culture events, theatres, lectures about german contemporary dance.

Final Performance
On the last day we gather all the participants and also Berlin audience to share our dance experience in Berlin.
We'll see results of DASS 2020 Berlin Creation classes, but also each participant can show his own dance piece or make a collaboration work with other DASS students.

Who is a DASS-participant?
Our participants are professional dancers, choreographers, actors, performers.
But we are open also to have amateurs, who desires to learn and be in dance environment.

Dancer
You dance and you are interested in a dance education abroad, aiming at knowing other teaching methods and dance styles.
Dance amateur
You are a person with a strong personality, having already danced many years ago, and now you have a wish of dancing return. Also you understand, that this project is a good chance to have a great trip.
Teacher, choreographer
You are a professional dancer, teacher or a choreographer and want to get a unique experience, to improve and enrich your portfolio, to adapt to international teaching methods and finally to make useful contacts and strike up acquaintances.
Accomodation
can be arranged by the participant himself or you can live together with the group at Meininger hotel Tiergarden
Rooms up to 6 people (only DASS participants) with shower/WC & hair dryer
